Subject: Taking authority over Satan

Luke 10:18-20 explains that we have authority over the Power of Satan.
Satan has no power over us because we trust in Jesus. Jesus saw satan
fall from heaven like lightening. Jesus stayed in heaven with God when
satan was kicked out. Jesus has authority over satan and He has given
us AUTHORITY over the power of the enemy. Praise you Jesus.

When satan is among you, you can crush him. Think about snakes and
scorpions. These animals are used to describe satan. They are low to
the ground, they are poisonous, but it is easy to crush them. The
scorpions squirm around in the dirt. They aren't easily spotted, so you

must be aware of your surroundings so you aren't "bit." Think about how

easy it is to kill a scorpion. You just have to have good aim so they
don't squirm away. Snakes are easier to spot. They slither around.
Some can squeeze you to death while others have venom. We must crush
those satan snakes in our lives so he doesn't get a grip around us.

Satan has no authority over us. Jesus has given us authority to crush

satan, but we shouldn't rejoice in the fact that evil spirits obey us,
but rejoice that your name is registered in heaven. Gods grace through
Jesus is our only hope to conquer the enemy. We are nothing without
Him. With Jesus, we can live with Jesus forever in heaven.

Lord Jesus, You tell us in your word that you have given us authority
over the power of the enemy. Wow, that is an amazing insight! Help us
to recognize the enemy so we can take authority before he starts to
squeeze us. We can crush satan every time he attacks us. He has no
authority over us in the name through the blood of Jesus. We claim
your power in our lives. We don't rejoice because evil spirits obey us,

but rejoive because our names are registered in heaven. Praise the name

of Jesus who was, and is and is to come. Amen

From Reeda ans Wesley

We Love all of you guys

Wesley and Reeda
MAY YOUR BLESSINGS CONTINUE
TO BE FRUITFUL and PLENTIFUL.
Dear Lord, I thank You for this day.

I thank You for my being able to see
and to hear this morning.

I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and
an understanding God.

You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me
this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not
pleasing to you.

I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm.
Help me to start this day with a new attitude
and plenty of gratitude.

Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I
can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept what you have ordained to
happen in my life and that of those around me.

Let me not whine and whimper about things
over which I have no control,
And help me to respond lovingly even when
I am pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I can't pray aloud,
You listen to my heart.

Please continue to use me to do Your will and
bless me that I may be a blessing to others.

Keep me strong that I may help the weak...
Keep me uplifted that I may encourage others.
I pray for those that are lost and have not yet found their way.

I pray for those that are yet misjudged and misunderstood.

I pray for those who don't know You intimately, O God. I pray for those
that don't believe.

But I thank you that I believe.
I believe that You, O God, change people
and their circumstances.

I pray that everyone who prays this prayer will be blessed and I pray
for all my sisters and brothers and for
each and every family member in their households.
I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes and
that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that the whoever prays this prayer realizes that
You, O God, are greatern than any problem or circumstance.

If we leave every battle in Your hands for You to fight, there is no
weapon formed against us that will prosper.
I pray that these words be received into the hearts of everyone who sees
it.

God, I love you and I need you...

Please come and reside in my heart.
Amen

Nehemiah's example in prayer

Nehemiah had an active prayer life.  He was an amazing example for a prayer warrior.  In Chapter 1, he heard bad news about Jerusalem.  The Jews who had survived captivity were in great trouble and disgrace because the walls of Jerusalem had been torn down and the gates were burned.

The first thing Nehemiah did was weep, mourn, fast, and pray to God.  How often do we go to God first?  He praised the Lord of heaven for His awesome greatness. He acknowleded that God  keeps His covenant to those who obey His commands.  He pleaded for the Lord to listen to him.  He confessed his sin, the sin of his family, and the sin of his nation. He reminded God that if the people turn back to Him and obey His commands, He will bring the nation back together again.  Nehemiah was a humble servant before the Lord and asked God for success in his mission to bring the people back th the place God had chosen for them.  Nehemiah prayed from fall to spring (a season) before beginning his mission.

Lord, we come to you now.  We praise you and thank you for teaching us everytime we seek your face.  You are awesome and you can accomplish the impossible.  With you, all things are possible.  Thank you for Nehemiah's example of humility and strength. We confess that we get ahead of you sometimes.  We think that we can handle things and charge ahead before You are ready to act.  We humble ourselves, seek Your face, turn from our wicked ways.  Heal our land, Heal our hearts, Lord.  Help us to listen to your call, follow your guidance.  Hear our prayer, oh Lord.  Grant us success as we follow your commands.  We delight in Honoring You, our strength and deliverer.  In Jesus' precious name, AMEN

Lord, I'm ready (Col 4)

Lord, I come to you today, devoting myself to prayer with an alert mind.  I'm ready to receive whatever you have for me to do.  Also, I thank you with a devoted heart for supplying all my needs according to your riches and golry in Christ Jesus.
I pray for my Christian brothers and sisters.  Give them many opportunities to preach about your plan--that Christ is for all people.  I pray for us all to proclaim your message as clearly as we should.
Give me wisdom among those who are not christians and make the most of every opportunity.  I pray that my conversations will be gracious and effective so that I will have the right answer for everyone.
Lord, make me strong and perfect, fully confident of your whole will.  Give me directions to carry out the work you give me.

tragedy

How do we pray when tragedy happens.  Maybe a friend or family member is sick or dying..  We dont want that person to die, naturally in our human nature we want everything to be alright.  In our spiritual nature, we want that person to be at peace, no pain.  Why does God allow these tough times to happen?

It is never easy, but when we pray to him, rather than avoiding him, he can bring us comfort.  Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted.

Psalm 77 explains that we are comforted in hard times by remembering how God helped us in the past. He is with us every step of the way. I will write a prayer to paraphrase.

Oh God, I cry out to you without holding back.  Oh God, listen to me.
I remember when I was in deep trouble, I needed you, and searched for you.  I prayed all night, hands lifted up pleading .  There was no joy for me until you acted.  I think of you, God, and I moan.  I am longing for help. I stay awake because I'm too stressed to pray.

I remember the good old days, when my nights were filled with joyful songs.  Have you forgotten me?   Have you left me alone?

No, you are the God of miracles. Even though you do things that I don't understand, You are Holy.  You are mighty.  You have demonstated your awesome power among the nations.  You have redeemed your people by your strength.  You have proven yourself over and over.

Show yourself to me.  Show me your love and your comfort.  Many times I dont understand why things happen the way they do.  Sometimes, I am angry with you, but you are faithful.  I will recall all that you have done and remember your wonderful deeds.  They are constantly in my thoughts, and I meditate on You.  The time I have here on earth is Your Gift to me, and when I meet you in heaven I will fully understand your ways.

Lord, I love you in good times and bad, Amen

Just a conversation

Prayer is a conversation with God. Think about having a conversation
with your best friend. Do you ask him/her for stuff, or do you just
chit chat (sometimes) or do you tell your best friend all your secrets?
What response do you expect? That person might hug you or tell you that
they love you. They might cry with you or laugh with you, or they might
be preoccupied and tell you to come back later.

Well, with God, he is always there, he's never too busy. He wants to be
your heavenly best friend. He wants you to bring him near.
Ps 65:4 What joy for those who chose to bring you near, those who live
in your holy courts. What joy awaits us inside your holy temple.

He is a joy to be with and talk to. He will never tell anyone your
secrets. He will listen to you..
Psalm 116:2 Because He bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I
have breath!

He loves you, and he desires to hear your songs to him, your chit chat,
your deepest secrets, your confessions, your praise, and even your
requests.
Ps 42: 8 Through each day the Lord pours his UNFAILING love on me, and
through each night I sing His songs, praying to God who gives me life.

Prayer

God, Best Friend, Thanks for being there for me. Thanks for keeping
all my secret safe in the shadow of your wings. I love to be with you.
I know I can't touch you physically, but when I pray, our souls touch.
You surround me with your unfailing love and fill me with your peace. I
lift up songs of joy to you and want to be ready to hear you speak to
me. Give me your ears so I can focus on what you have for me to do. I
am still and know that you are God, the joy of my salvation, the Light
that never goes out, the Prince of Peace.

Have a great day and thanks for hanging out with me. The best part is
you never leave me. I'm never lonely.

Prepare for battle

Is Satan real? Yes, Be alert because Satan is seeking whom he may
devour. He is ready to pounce on anyone who is vulnerable. We must
prepare for battle everyday, in Jesus name and by his strength. Jesus
can win your battle for you, but he has to be commander and chief in
your life. Victory can be His and you will see the victory because you
are working under His authority.

How can we prepare for battle? We must have enough rest. If you have
burdons, Jesus will give you rest for your soul (Matt11:28-30). As you
are giving Him control of your burdons, be strong and courageous, do not
fear or be dismayed for the LORD your God is with you and He will show
the way. (Deut 31:6) We must pray in Jesus' name for victory every
day. We must not waiver, but be prepared by reading Gods word, and
following his lead. Jesus can break the power of the devil (see Heb
2:14).

The Holy Spirit will prompt you to speak forth His truth. That is your
opportunity to Share Jesus with other. Take the opportunity and receive
victory in Jesus. God will bless you for your obedience!!!!!!!

Warriors prayer

Heavenly Father, Your warrior prepares for Battle. Today I claim
victory over Satan by putting on the whole armor of God.

I put on the Girdle of Truth! May I stand firm in the truth of Your
Word so I will not be a victim of Satan's lies.

I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness! May it guard my heart from
evil so I will remain pure and holy, protected under the blood of Jesus
Christ.

I put on the Shoes of Peace! May I stand firm in the Good News of the
Gospel so Your peace will shine through me and be a light to all I
encounter.

I take the Shield of Faith! May I be ready for Satan's fiery darts of
doubt, denial, and deceit so I will not be vulnerable to spiritual
defeat.

I put on the Helmet of Salvation May I keep my mind focused on you so
Satan will not have a stronghold on my thoughts.

I take the Sword of the Spirit! May the two edged sword of Your Word be
ready in my hands so I can expose the tempting words of Satan.

By faith your warrior has put on the whole armor of God.

I am prepared to live this day in Spiritual Victory!

Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit
Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians
everywhere. Eph 6:13-18

What is the point of prayer?

What is the point of prayer?  Is it to get what we want?  Is it like waving a magic wand, or rubbing a jenie bottle?  Does God answer all our prayers?  WELL,  His thoughts are not our thoughts, His ways are not our ways.  We might pray for a new car and be upset when he doesnt give it to us.  Why didnt he answer our our prayer the way we wanted?

It is all about relationship.  God wants to be your best friend.  He wants you to meet him, get to know him, have a commitment with him, and grow closer to him.  How do we do that?  PRAYER is the key to your relationship with God. He will show you himself, and He will supply all your needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.  Maybe he doesn't want you to have a new car now because that might cause you to take your eyes off of Him.  Maybe he does want you to have a new car because he knows you will take all your friends to church,  We do not have his thoughts, but as we draw close to him, he draws close to us.  He has our best interest in mind.

In this blog, I want to share with you things that God is showing me about prayer.  I will also try to include different people's inspiring ideas as the Lord leads.  This is His page and I am excited to see what He has planned.

There are many different types of prayers.  Today I will focus on a prayer of praise as written in Psalms 145.  I will use the words and personalize it.

Dear Almighty Father,
I praise you my God and King, and I bless your name forever.
I will bless you every day and I will praise you forever.
Lord, you are great and most worthy of praise.
Your greatness is beyond discovery.

Let each generation tell of your mighty acts.
I meditate on your magestic, glorious spendor and your wonderful miracles.
Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue.
I proclaim your greatness.
Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness, they will sing joy of your righteousness.

Lord, you are kind and merciful, slow to get angry, full of unfailing live.
Lord, you are good to everyone.
You shower compassion on all your creation.
I thank you Lord for all of your works and your faithful followers will bless you.

Lord, give me words to share about the glory of your kingdom.
My friends and I will celebrate examples of your power.
Give me opportunity to tell about your mighty deeds and about the magesty and glory of your reign.
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
You rule generation after generation.

I praise you with all my heart,Mighty God of Israel, Amen
